Snorkeling is considered to be one of the well=known recreational sports and there are a lot of enthusiast that do snorkeling on a regular basis. Often many beach visitors are found to get attracted towards it also many scuba drivers are found to use the snorkeling gears.

There is probably only one other sport that can match the thrill and excitement of snorkeling and that is night scuba diving, as because you get more chances to dive deeper in the water. However the night snorkeling can give you a lot of adrenaline rush.

Animals like lobsters and shrimps can be seen also the coral polyps that open up at night, gives the water body a colourful look. You can also see the glowing planktons which flash similar to lights if disturbed. It's a lovely experience.

It is better if you test your snorkeling skills before you go in the water. Always make sure you place your head in the water and the snorkel tube is just at the surface of the water. If you find some water has entered the tube then don't inhale but try to exhale out. You must try to hold your breath if you find water is entering in your tube.

Such semi dry valves are found with designed caps that deflect the water that enter the snorkel preventing it from entering the tube. These snorkels are often needed to be purged at frequent intervals as compared to the non-purge snorkels. This makes the purge valve a very important part of the gear.

Next very important equipment that you should have is a whistle. This is going to be helpful in case of emergencies when you need your partner's help. The whistle is attached to your vest and can help you to signal your friend if you are caught in a situation. Get proper utility gear, it is very important. Protecting yourself against the cold water at night should be a matter of concern; also having proper gear ensures your safety against cuts and bruises under water at night.
