Ensuring A Great Stay In Your Apartment Hotel In Paradise

By Elizabeth Howard

Barbados, an island on the Caribbean with a colorful history. It started as a British colony and a stopover for pirates to trade and restock. The economy was not very good in the beginning with most of it coming from agriculture but they eventually moved away from that and have morphed into world class tourist destination.

In the old days, it was hard to fathom that the small island nation could become a place the whole world knew but that is exactly what happened. The idea of maintaining a Barbados apartment hotel as a main source of livelihood used to seem absurd but now has become a reality for most of their entrepreneurs. The place has come a long way and definitely has a place on any travelers bucket list.

Upon docking in Barbados, one can expect locals to greet you at the bridge as is customary for them. Their culture will make an almost immediate impression. Conversations with the taxi driver taking you to your selected resort could be enough to inspire you filling up your schedule with things to do.

When you get all your stuff settled in your room, you should find yourself right at the the beach. The majority of places for tourists to stay will be found there. At this point you can start wandering the coast, wherever you may be, chances are, the beach looks amazing. What makes Barbados so good is the fact that even public beaches are as clean and as high quality as the privately owned ones. Available to anyone are water taxis, boats that charge a fare to deliver you anywhere along the coast much like the conventional taxi.

The beaches are littered with delicious seafood restaurants, all kinds of water sports, and various seaside lounges and bars. When your water taxi docks it may dock right beside a fishing boat full of all kinds of fishes that they just caught which could be served to you in a mouthwatering dish within minutes. You will not regret trying their cuisine.

Heart pounding water sports, a midday cruise with song and dance from the locals, and snorkeling along breathtaking coral reefs are just some other things you can do. Its also worth venturing into the some of the pristine forests in Barbados with a diverse and thought provoking wildlife. Needless to say, having a local guide through the forest would serve you well.

Barbados has a number of natural tourist spots, one of which is their caves. If you are lucky enough to have docked at the right beach you should be able to see the one cave that opens up to the Atlantic ocean with its own natural pool inside, looking out from this cave at sunset will be an unforgettable experience. Swimming in a natural infinity pool inside the cave will be another.

If you get tired of all the swimming, you can wander even deeper to see the equally breathtaking forests. Take some time to sip fresh coconut juice and have a light mid afternoon snack in a restaurant in the middle of the forest beside monkeys. After the quick recharge, you can move into the city to see the beautiful mural paintings, be dazzled by their culture, or experience the nightlife on the streets.

If you feel you are in desperate need to let loose and recharge then coming here should not even be a topic of debate. Traveling has become so much easier in the last ten years than it has ever been. You should take advantage of that.
