What One Can Learn From West Chester Swimming Lessons

By Jocelyn Davidson

Swimming is one of the most important things for anyone to learn because no one will ever know when he will have to survive in water. Basically, west chester swimming lessons are broken into three levels namely in the beginner level, the advanced level, and the competitive level. Just to know what they are all about, here are some bits of information.

When one starts out in the first level, the first thing that he would learn is floating. In order to float, he will have to learn the fundamentals of breathing so that he can fill his lungs up with air. By knowing the proper way of breathing on water, he will definitely be able to float.

Once he learns the basics of floating, he will then learn how to kick while he is inside of the water. By kicking the water with feet kicking alternately, one can actually push his entire body while in the pool. Of course he will also then learn how to use hand movements along with this in order to do the move known as the freestyle.

Once he has already mastered the basics, then he can learn some other new moves like the dog crawl and the frog kick. Now while doing these moves, one must put his head above the water. This will allow him to continue breathing even though he is moving his body.

Now after he learns these two moves, then he has already completed his beginner level and can go on to the advanced level. Now the very first stroke that he will learn upon entering advanced training would be the backstroke. Now the backstroke is one of the most relaxing moves in the entire history of swimming because one will be moving his body while he is lying on his back.

Now the next move that he will be learning would be the breast stroke. This is a move that requires a little hand movement as well as a little bit of upper body movement because he will be pushing his head out of the water to breathe. While doing that, he would be doing frog kicks while under the water.

The last move that he would be learning is the butterfly stroke. This is arguably the hardest move to do because it requires strong upper body movement as he will be pushing his body up and spreading his arms. At the same time, he will be doing a dolphin kick which is a kick where both his feet will hit the pool at the same time.

So after learning all those strokes, one will now be able to go into the competitive level. Now it is in this stage that one will be looking at the form of all the moves that he has learned. He will also be training his stamina in this stage.
