Go out often, this will allow you to find people that you can get along with. But, if you are there as an exchange students, making friends at school is easier. You do not have to be friends with everyone, just with a few who you get along.

Involve yourself in their activities and have a journal to place your thoughts and experiences. Take a class about their culture to immerse yourself with their cultural experience. The class will teach you about things you never understood about them. There are a lot of classes out there, you just need to find one.

Knowing your host. Knowing your host is applicable to students who studied abroad and is currently living with a host. You need to exert effort in this. With you are mindful of the lifestyle of your host and you are able to mimic it, you can easily get in and get along with their customs and rules. Be open to experience new things.

Try not to get debilitate by the language boundary. Not having the capacity to get their language immediately is ordinary, you do not need to be debilitated by it. Hope to be culture stun when visiting a new nation. Become familiar with their language before voyaging, and watch their habits and language so you can fit in effectively.

Explore. Do not hide yourself in your room all the time and just hang out with people you are always with. Get out of the house, explore places which you have never been to and try out activities. Get out from your comfort zone. Take a walk at your neighborhood to find if there are any restaurants and coffee shops near you, and familiarize them.

Keep your communication with your family and friends back home. Keep in touch with your family and friends through writing letters, texting, and in social media sites. Experiencing different frustrations and challenges when moving or traveling abroad is normal. Simply follow all these tips to ensure that your new adventure will be full of happiness and laughter.
