People love Ireland whether they are natives or tourists. This is a country steeped in history. Slieve League Cliffs should not be missed. These are some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, and the views are stunning. Those who choose to hike to the top will have panoramic Atlantic Ocean views. History buffs will be interested the ruins of an early Christian monastery and other ancient stones that may signify the mountain was a pilgrimage destination prior to the advent of Christianity on the island.

Portsalon is a must for golfers who will probably already be familiar with the famous eighteen hole course. Those less interested in golfing may prefer to spend some time on the beautiful beaches, enjoying the local shops, galleries, and tearooms or hiking along one of the many trails in the area.

Another noted golf course in this area is located at the Narin and Portnoo Golf Club. It has spectacular views of Gweebarra Bay and is considered by most, who have had a chance to visit and play a round, to be among the most scenic courses in the United Kingdom. Members and visitors are welcome to enter the various tournaments planned throughout the year.

Tory Island is a special place to visit. It is located off the west coast of Ireland and considered one of this country's most remote islands. It is also the residence of the last king of Ireland. Visitors can take the ferry and spend the day walking along the cliffs before making a stop at the wishing stone.
